My brother noticed this during the final round of the Masters. We were at our parents for the Easter Sunday family gathering. In honor of my Aunt Betsy coming north this week to visit my parents in Delaware, this is a picture of Pops and Aunt Betsy from the summer of 1977. It was taken in the front yard of Mammy and Granddaddy's house in Roxboro, N.C. The fashion of the year appears to have been polyester and dark socks with white tennis shoes -- let's hope those fashion trends stay in the past.

This is a picture of Mama and Daddy from March 1957 -- she was 13 he was 14 or 15 depending on when in March it was taken. Good God they've been hanging around each other a long time. My youngest brother Brandon had this thing for the ornaments that looked like Santa Claus. This photo is from December 1973. Brandon was about 1 1/2 years old here. In the photo he is clearly reaching out for and then pulling the one Santa ornament closer so he can give it a kiss. This is a picture of my brother Stephen from Feb. 17, 1969. He's about 17-18 months old here. I love the way he's got a grip on that bottle. His parents and my parents were good friends. Our fathers worked together at DuPont and our families were members of the neighborhood golf course and swimming pool. After our day hike the other day we stopped by our parents' house and had dinner while watching the Eagles game. Looking around the den at us all with plates in our laps, it reminded me of the holidays. Why? The annual guys backpacking trip on part of the Appalachian trail is coming up this weekend. I thought it would be a good idea this year to take a trip up a few days ahead of time and hide some beer and water near where we will set up camp. Every year our backpacks seem to get a bit heavier. So on Sunday, we took a day trip up to the trail section. I'm only posting a little bit of the video here.

My brother Stephen and his family have an older dog named Chelsea. She is almost completely blind and deaf .... but she loves to dance.I guess she's just scratching her back but it's fun to watch.

This is me in my stroller in 1966 when I was just a few months old. This stroller looks like it was a pretty stiff ride. I see no suspension to speak of on it, all metal frame, hard rubber wheels, no springs nor any give in it all ..... I hope I was at least sitting on an inflatable donut to protect my coccyx.

The annual Tilghman Island Day was Saturday. As always, it was a blast. Below is some video clips from the crab picking contest. More pictures and video to come soon. I also just upgraded my account on Vimeo to the paid membership and have changed my settings for uploading.
