Way Back When-sday

What is the worst gift you've ever given your dad for Christmas?
Seriously. Dads are impossible to buy for. This was something one of us gave Pops for Christmas sometime in the mid '80s called a TV Duck. It sat on the arm of the chair and held the remote control and the TV Guide. I don't think I ever saw it used to do that. Pops sure looks happy to be getting it from one of us, though. Now we just try to give him things we've borrowed over the years and never given back.

So, what's the worst gift you've ever given your dad?

Ha! That's too funny. I don't know who got him it, but my dad ended up with a singing Billy Big Mouth Bass wall plaque one year. =)

My brother and his wife recently moved out of my dad's house and into their new house...so there was this big can of coffee (not my dad's brand)in the cupboard that he asked me to give to them because they had left it behind...turns out it was a christmas gift from them last year...my dad totally forgot...guess that means it wasn't such a good gift...

A cup warmer that you plug into your computer. I don't know what I was thinking. He hardly uses a computer.
Maybe I'll get it as a re-gift this year.
