Way Back When-sday
This is a picture of Mama from somewhere around 1960-1962, I would imagine. She would be in her later teens here.
There is a lot I love about this picture, besides Mama's great smile and that killer dress. I really like the old photos on the wall, the TV set and the couch. I also like the oval rug over the hardwood floor. And then there's the lamp in the background -- I think it is the same one that Mama and Daddy still have the base of in their basement at home.
I believe the picture was taken at Aline and George's house, Mama's aunt and uncle. Aline and George didn't have any kids and treated Mama and her brother, Tony, like their own.

Yes, Son, you are right. The picture was taken at Aline and George's house. I think you are right about everything you said. I think that was the night of a Junior-Senior prom. I'm not sure if it was mine or your Dad's. We went to 3 proms so it was one of them. Years sure have changed the way I look, but at least I still feel the same about your dad as I did then. Well...maybe not quite the same. ILY
That is one gorgeous dress. Your Mom looks great!
