Slipping and a sliding ...

A storm moved through the region Friday, dumping freezing rain, sleet and snow on the parts of Maryland and Delaware I deal with. The video is of a salt and sand truck doing its work on U.S. 40 in Delaware. The picture is of northbound traffic on the Chesapeake City bridge at a standstill because of an accident on the bridge. The sleet caught the salt trucks off guard. They usually do the bridge early and often. I'd say I sat up there a good 20 minutes or so until they got the wrecked cars out of the way.
