Wayback When-sday

It's spring today. Swimming pool weather is just around the corner -- sort of. In this picture from June 1970, we have taken a small plastic children's pool and put it close enough to our metal swing set that we could put the end of the slide in the pool. Look at the top of the slide and you'll see the garden hose. Water would come out of the hose and onto the slide and like magic, we had our own backyard water slide. There are probably laws against letting your kids do that now-a-days. Safety, shmafety. Thanks Mama and Daddy for being such cool parents. We all have the scars to prove it :-)

Anyway, Stephen is sitting on the slide, I'm lounging with my feet up and the other three are our new neighbors -- as it says on the back of the picture.

I really like your Wayback Whensdays. Cool idea. Also, the boombox, nice. It's also nice to read about someone who had a pleasant childhood.
