Your grandfather knew a good knife, Jeffrey. It's funny, so often you hear that "no one makes a good pocketknife like they used to anymore." But Case sure does. And they do it here in America. Personally, I prefer their carbon steel (or CV) blades, the ones that stain just like Grandad's. Those blades may take a wee bit more care than stainless, but they take a great edge easily and hold it.
I still have a few of the knives Granddaddy handed down and Mama has his sharpening set. He would shave the hair off a spot on his arm to show how sharp he had the blades. So you're right mnblade, they do take a great edge.
As a side note: I even gave Baby Butterbeans to my wedding party.
I was cute when I was little -- but those days are long gone. I'm married to a beautiful woman named Natalie with a Jack Russell and two cats.... No kids yet... I couldn't have asked for a better family or a better life growing up. You can learn more about me the hard way -- by reading my blog.
Bow Wow Meow: Natalie takes a crack at blogging to give you her take on life.
Parra Grafs: A somewhat disturbing peek into one man's life
Mara's Whole Lots o' Nothin': I love dancing, singing karaoke, merlots, margaritas, m&m's, and medium-rare ribeyes. And especially that guy named Brent.
Mierzwa Moments: Formerly known as Kathleen's Wacky Life ... Kathleen is newly married and she and Shaun share their new life together through this blog.
Royal Mom: Zoe in Oregon offers up some great photos and some interesting posts on her site
Our Life in Idaho: Kim and Victoria share their life -- and the life of their family -- through tales and pictures of living and gardening in Idaho.
Oyster Girl: A woman shares her unadulterated love of all things oyster.
